The Open Education Consortium is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the Open Education Awards for Excellence 2017.

The Open Education Awards for Excellence provide annual recognition to outstanding contributions in the Open Education community. These awards recognize distinctive Open Educational Resources, Open Projects & Initiatives, as well as exemplary leaders in Open Education worldwide.

This year we have a new expanded category for OER Awards; previously classified as “Sites & Courses Awards”.   This new category encourages nominations beyond courses and sites fostering the wide variety of innovative OER being developed around the world.

A panel of voting members will select award winners from finalists culled by the Open Education Awards for Excellence Committee.  Individual winners will be selected by a vote of the OEC Board of Directors.

OE Awards will be presented at the next Open Education Global Conference in Cape Town, South Africa March 8-10, 2017.
